Androids, cyborgs, and robots

The final day of sci-fi week has arrived! On this last day of science fiction goodness I present to you the following:

He comes from the future. Not sure if he'll be back, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle.

Here we have a classic robot. RatCat style.

Finally, we have Robomammoth!

How did you like these final sci-fi themed drawings?

I hope you enjoyed sci-fi week here on RatCat and Friends! I sure had a lot of fun.

Let me know your favorites from this week! Until next time! =^o,,o^=

Back to the sci-fi week!

Ok, so we never left the sci-fi week, but it's time for some time travel! I found it quite hard to come up with things to draw for time travel, but I managed to come up with a few things.

Of course one of the biggest time travel movies is Back to the Future. I already did crazy professors and I can't draw cars very well, so here we have Lucy as Marty McFly from the Back to the Future film series.

To travel through time a time machine might come in handy. So here we have RatCat and the Time Machine.

We'll actually see another iconic character that traveled through time to change the fate of the world, but he's traveled ahead to Sunday.

Until tomorrow! =^o,,o^=

Look out for RatCatzilla!

Whether they are man-made, mutated, or just born that way, science fiction has it's fair share of monsters! Some monsters are created by those mad scientists we saw a few days ago.

One of the most famous monsters in fictional history is of course the monster of Frankenstein! Here we have Evil Space RatCat's minion showing us his version of this misunderstood monster.

Lucy from the black lagoon?

One of sci-fi's biggest monsters is Godzilla! Or in this case, RatCatzilla!

Did you like the monsters? Until tomorrow again! =^o,,o^=

Mad scientists and crazy professors!

Sci-fi week continues! Scientists who've seem to lost it a little are no strangers in science fiction. Which is a good thing, because crazy scientists make all sorts of crazy things happen. They create monsters, build time machines, and...well some of them just go crazy.

This mad RatCat sure looks like he's on the verge of something insane. He doesn't seem to have any equipment besides that thing with the lever though...so I don't think he'll be able to do too much damage.

Evil Space RatCat may not look too crazy, but I don't think he's completely sane either. I mean...his best friend is a dust bunny that mutated because of something Evilly had conjured up in his lab. That's pretty crazy.

Finally we have Lucy von Fledermaus. I can just hear her laugh "aahaaahahahaaa!". All crazy like. Her hair sure is wild.

That's it for the second sci-fi day here at RatCat and friends. Tomorrow we will feature one of the biggest sci-fi sagas (if not the biggest) ever!

Until then! =^o,o^=

The start of Sci-fi week! Alien invasion.

The first theme week of 2014 has arrived and the theme is Sci-fi! We start with: aliens! We will come across more aliens this week than I will show to you today, but I think these are quite enough to get the sci-fi ball rolling.

We start of with the Big Fat Friendly Butterfly as some random alien. A big part of any stereotypical alien is usually his big weird eyes. The BFFB is also sporting a nice space helmet.

Next we have Count Slugula as an alien with two tails and an antenna.

You probably recognize this RatCat alien as one of the squeeze toy aliens from Toy Story. Although Toy Story isn't necessarily a Sci-fi story, I love the little aliens and really wanted to draw this.
Making an alien out of any character is quite easy really. Just add some tentacles and a space helmet! Unless your character is an octopus or something...then it's just an octopus with a space helmet on. It works for mammoths though!

Finally, when you think alien, don't you also kind of think predator? Of course, predator is an alien so it fits right in with all the other alien weirdness you've already seen. So here, as our final drawing on the first day of sci-fi week, we have Lucy von Fledermaus as predator.

How did you enjoy all the RatCat and friends aliens? Do you have a favorite?

Tomorrow it's time for some crazy geniuses! Until tomorrow! =^o,,o^=
